we're always being told that we need to review our skills to stay on top of our game at work, and the same applies at home...in the bedroom department! Which is why we have put together a little revision session on that sexual bible… the Kama Sutra. A bit of theory never did anyone any harm after all.The Kamasutra was written in India in the early 9th century CE by a group of celibate sages who had no experience in the art of love making. It is one of several holy sutras that cogitate on life and living. Many chapters from the sutra are vividly depicted on the temple walls in Konark and Khajurao. Though it appears that their purpose was to distract pilgrims."Kama" which is one of the three goals of Hindu life, means sensual or sexual pleasure, and "sutra" literally means a thread or line that holds things together, and more taphorically refers to an aphorism (or line, rule, formula), or a collection of such aphorisms in the form of a manual. Kama sutra is not just an exclusive sex manual; it presents itself as a guide to a virtuous and gracious living that discusses the nature of love, family life and other aspects pertaining to pleasure oriented faculties of human life.A man who is versed in these arts, who is loquacious and acquainted with the arts of gallantry, gains very soon the hearts of women, even though he is only acquainted with them for a short time. The aim of the Sixty Four Arts of the Kama Sutra is not merely to be a good wife, but to be a skillful, playful, understanding, refined, sexual, beautiful and intelligent woman. The Kama Sutra also expresses cultivation of the male, his understanding of female nature and the importance of cultivating sensual moods and intimacy. The ancient Indians show great attention to detail of smell, light, music, food, drink and touch before intercourse can begin. So how well do you know the Kama Sutra? All the positions? The history of this ancient lovers' bible? . “There is more to the work than a catalogue of human pretzel-like positions; it's also a guide on lifestyle and elationships” often freely depicting nudity, romantic themes or sexual situations…which definitely helps you how to handle your sexuality better, or how to gain a better spouse or improve the one that you have.
